Keeping In Touch

St Joan of Arc  Catholic School is delighted announce that we have registered with the exciting Future First scheme in order to set up a network of alumni. We are seeking former St Joan’s students to get in touch and join the network. It doesn’t matter when you left school, whether you’re in further education or employment, whether you still live nearby or have moved further away, there are still ways you can help and we would love to stay in touch. Keeping in Touch

You can sign up to St Joan’s alumni scheme by visiting the Future First registration page, ‘Former Students’ link, it is that simple. Alternatively, you can contact David Ritchie, Careers Coordinator by emailing

Mrs O'Hanlon, Head Teacher at St Joan’s said:

“We are thrilled to have signed up for Future First’s scheme as there is nothing more powerful than former students sharing their inspiring stories with students still at school who are about to make important decisions about their future pathways”

Giving Something Back

We have invited former students in to speak at school events from a range of sectors which we are hoping to build on through the Future First scheme. People who have visited the school recently include the GB women’s cricket captain, an award winning author, a chartered accountant, a successful entrepreneur,  and a priest. They were all able to inspire our students and encourage them to truly believe that anything is possible if they are prepared to work hard and believe in themselves.

Helping Others

I am confident that there are many more former St Joan’s students who would be prepared to help the current members of their old school either by speaking at assemblies, meeting with students who are interested in their particular job, offering work experience, mentoring a student who needs career guidance or to support a department. You can have a dramatic impact upon how our students see the world and their place in the world. I want them all to have a dream, an ambition that is tough and challenging but one that they can achieve with hard work and determination.
