Year 11 GCSE Results Day

We wish to congratulate all our Year 11 students who collected their GCSE results today. Overall our Year 11 cohort produced the best ever results the school has ever achieved, surpassing the best previous results set last year.

The headline figures are as follows:

Attainment 8 (A8) score of 55.31 (52.2 in 2018)

Projected Progress 8 (P8) score of +0.4 (+0.3 in 2018)

85% Students attaining 4+ in English & Maths

62% Students attaining 5+ in English & Maths

The philosophy we have for educating children at St Joan’s is that academic success is only one part of the jigsaw that makes a successful education. That being said, we should also not be shy in celebrating this with our students who have gained terrific success across the ability spectrum this year.

These results, coupled with the success of our Year 13 cohort, (the overall data from ALPs places them in the top 25% nationally), shows us that we should all be very proud of our students and their achievement.
