The governors, headteacher and senior leadership team are committed to recruiting high quality staff to support the development of the students we serve at our school. We are affiliated to several local Teaching School Alliance's (TSA's) and School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) providers to help develop and train teaching and support staff. We actively seek to develop the capacity of our existing staff and provide leadership opportunities to enbale successful career progression.

As an employer we provide all staff with a asuitable induction programme and mentor where new to leadership positions. The opportunity to engage with further academic research through assisted MA qualifications, research projects and secondment opportunities enables our staff to remain at the leading edge of education.

The school also offers all staff access to schemes such as 'Cycle to Work' and 'Childcare Vouchers' as part of our commitment to support staff wellbeing.

Paid Internship Programme

Are you a STEM subject undergraduate in your penultimate or final year?

Are you interested in teaching?

Would you like to earn £1200 for a 4-week internship?

The Herts & Bucks TSA is offering a paid internship programme commencing in June 2019 for undergraduates in STEM subjects who are interested in finding out more about teaching Physics or Maths. As part of the programme you will:

  • Have the support of a subject specialist mentor throughout the 4-weeks
  • Experience the day-to-day life of teaching in a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School
